Title Of The event: SEED Summer School «Clinical and genetic diagnosis of Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies »

Framework Of the event:
The “ SEED summer school 2 ” is organized in the context of SEED project WP5 (Knowledge transfer, Dissemination and Communication). It is part of the third WP5 task T5.3 “Knowledge transfer and sustainability”. This event is an advanced course, a continuation of the first summer school. It address various aspects of developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEE) including the clinical and genetic diagnostic approach, the pathophysiological concept of DEE, the genetic basis of the different electro-clinical syndromes and genetic counseling. The participants were divided into 4 groups. Each group is supposed to interpret the NGS variants of each EE patient and present the conclusion. A representative of each group has presented the proposed solution. After deliberation, the members of the fourth group had the best score and won an invitation to the SEED international conference held in Tunis, 24 and 25, September, 2022.

After a call for participation, 20 candidates from 36 requests were selected including medical doctors (neurologist, Pediatrics and geneticist), scientists, and pharmacists by Prof Saber Masmoudi and Prof Ag Ikhlas Ben Ayed.
