A. The NGS expertise of the Sfax team has had an impact on policy making at national level:
Thus, this expertise in the field of NGS was requested for the implementation of several NGS Platforms in the University Hospitals (Genome Tunisia project).
B. At the regional plan:
Especially in terms of reaching out to the other institutions in different regions of Tunisia, the LPCMC team collaborates with the Faculty of Pharmacy of Monastir through the training of two residents in Pharmacy (Dr. Fatma Abdelmoula from January 2 to December 30, 2020 and Dr. Nadine Khasskhoussi from January 2 to June 30, 2021).
he major objective of this training is to contribute to the improvement of the skills of young researchers in the field of genomics and particularly via high throughput sequencing.
C. IN the mena region:
Prof Saber MASMOUDI and Prof Faiza FAKHFAKH presented courses to the resident students of the African CEC of Neuro-pediatrics.
The title of courses was respectively: “Use of new technologies in molecular biology” and “epigenetics”.
