Improved capability to compete successfully for national, EU and internationally competitive research funding.

The expertise acquired by SU members during the H2020 project will help them becoming more competitive in national call for research budget e.g federate research project (PRF) and VRR.

European partners have a strong experience in multinational consortia: the neurogenetics group from UA is a partner of the European genetic epilepsy consortium EuroEPINOMICS RES since 2011 (€2.5 million), which studied genetics of rare epilepsy syndromes with a focus on the EEs and currently is a member of Epi25 consortium. The MMG from AMU is an initiator for the French consortium for the diagnosis of genetic epilepsies EPIGENE and have won several National and European projects (JED foundation, ANR, ITN). Collaboration with these two partners, will enable the Tunisian group to have the experience and acquire the necessary skills to be able to compete successfully in high competitive research funding programs.

Furthermore, training sessions dedicated to European proposal writing (H2020 MSCA actions and Health collaborative projects) will be held during the project allowing SU to gain real expertise in research funding application. In addition, the Twinning of the two project managers (from SU and from AMU) will also contribute to further train the Tunisian team to the management of European projects.
