SEED results will lead all the partners and especially the coordinating group, to determine new specific electro-clinical syndromes and new gene abnormalities, thereby increasing its recognition reputation and allowing them to:
- participate actively to the international effort in the characterization of EE,
- increase their publications in higher IF journals,
- be involved in international EE networks
- be involved as a leading research institution for other European and international project,
- be invited as speakers and expert persons in international epilepsy conferences and congresses
- hold international conference on EE and children epilepsy.
SU will definitely reach the criteria to become “specialized epilepsy center” as determined by ILAE21 and to receive fellowships and researchers from MENA region for training. Child neurology department in SU had already trained three young pediatricians from Algeria for child epilepsy. The recognition of the European partners will improve this visibility and
increase the number of participant.
These results will encourage the private sector (clinic and technologies businesses) to invest in the field of epilepsy and EE, where much remains to be done in terms of treatment development.
Being in an H2020 project improves the attractiveness of partners and the confidence of international partners to participate and collaborate with SU members.
For European partners, the access to a new database of AR-EE forms will give them the opportunity to increase their visibility and attractiveness in MENA and Mediterranean region.
